Content pillars are the recurring themes your posts fall into, like educational, behind the scenes, product showcase, or community. Think of them as the main topics you keep coming back to. Knowing yours makes planning easier, because you're filling a few clear buckets instead of staring at a blank page.
How figment uses it
When you onboard, figment reads your existing posts and works out your pillars for you, with a rough sense of how much of your content goes to each. Your content plan then spreads ideas across those pillars, leaning into the ones that are performing. So the plan reflects how you actually post, not a generic template.
